Is your child preparing for the Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) Tamil? As a parent, are you worried about how to guide your ward in the right direction? All you need is a little planning to score high marks in PSLE Tamil. We show you how.
After the year-end exams your child can take a break. However, don’t make it too long. Use part of the holiday to reassess materials covered over the year. During the holidays, your child can collect all the past question papers and try to answer them as much as they can. As you know, practise makes perfect. Answering past papers will make a big difference as you will find lot of repeat questions every year. This will give them an idea about what to expect.
Learn from mistakes
There is nothing wrong in making mistakes while your child is preparing for the examination. But encourage them to correct their mistakes. They should have the patience to examine each mistake and not to repeat them. If they do so, they are less likely to make the same mistakes during the exams. Ask them to always mark the wrong answers and come back to it later.
Don’t leave anything out
Only if the child follows a systematic approach he/she will be able to score high marks in the PSLE Tamil. Before the student starts studying, ask him/her to make a detailed list of all the topics. Make a timetable and try to finish all the topics by sticking to the timetable.
Speak Tamil at home
If your ward handles the first exam without much difficult, he/she will get a confidence boost. The PSLE Tamil oral examination will be the first exam. They will assess reading, discussion and conversation proficiency so make your ward fluent in the language. You can help him/her by encouraging speaking Tamil at home. That will be good for a start. Also, they can get help from someone who is proficient in Tamil. Listen to how they speak, and correct their pitch if necessary. Students will score in conversation only if they work on their expression and fluency in the language.
